Pastor's Welcome |
Dear Visitors,
St. Bede welcomes you! Whether you have come here by yourself or with your family, for a year or a life time, please know that we long for you to be a part of us. I extend to you the same invitation that our Lord Jesus gave to His first followers, come and see.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us that the Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. Indeed, the entire life of the Church - all of the sacraments, our various ministries, and apostolic outreach activities - is bound up with the celebration of the Eucharist. Before you decide on which of the local parishes you will call your home parish, I hope that you will come and join us for the celebration of Sunday Mass. Our Eucharistic celebration, especially on the Lord's Day, is the heart of this parish.
Our parish is a vibrant center of Christian life. Many of our parishioners develop relationships outside the Sunday celebrations through the many corporal and spiritual works of mercy sponsored by the parish. We have an active Teen CAFÉ program for our high school students and a dynamic junior high program as well. The Pastoral Council sponsors numerous Christ-centered programs for all ages and all interests. We though many are one body in Christ. Come and see!
Please look through our program brochures at the front entrance, and see the various activities of our parish. (There are also registration form there as well on our website.) St. Bede rejoices in your faith, and hopes that you will join us in proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ within the rich Tradition of the Roman Catholic Church.
Please know that I am here to assist you in any way. Please give me a call if you have any questions about the life of this parish. Our patron, St. Bede the Venerable, found joy is the simplicity of community life. May the giver of all gifts grant you joy in the Lord and in this welcoming community of faith in action.
Fraternally in Christ,
Fr. David Carucci
Pastor
