CORE Definition
Everyone has a baptismal call to serve. A CORE Member is an adult who is responding to his or her baptismal call to serve in youth ministry. CORE Members will be an important role model in teenagers' lives. Our approach to ministry should be rooted in service, commitment, and dedication to the Church and the teenagers you serve. CORE Members are one of the most vital parts of the LIFE TEEN Program. First and foremost, CORE Members are role models to all of our teens. We know that how you live and act makes a strong impression of teens. The CORE Members work under the supervision of the youth ministry staff for the purpose of assisting in the fulfillment of the LIFE TEEN mission..
Trip to Holy Trinity
On Jan 6 some of the CORE members piled into two vans to make a trip to Holy Trinity for CORE University. The trip began at St. Bede where we divide the group into two smaller groups so that everyone would fit. Low and behold it was the girls in one van and the guys in the other. Us guys were ok with that. Give us time to have some manly discussions. We started off and it was quiet for most of the trip until we stopped and got something to eat. The girls told us to pick the place so we decided Wendys. Why not right...wrong. The women said they will not be eating there and we followed them up to a resturant. What they did not know was that we planned it that way. Now they wont ask us to pick a place because we men know that even though the women say they don't care they really do. We finally get to the hotel and hit the beds. The next morning we went to Holy Trinity in Peachtree City for the CORE University. The day was filled with great music, great fellowship, great teaching, but the best thing was the great love and grace that God spilled onto us CORE members. God really laid his hands on our hearts and filled us with love. We left that night with our bodies a bit tired from waking up early that morning, but our spirts were renewed and ready to come back so we can lead our youth closer to Christ!
